Do you see the old worn out man encased in volcanic dust and debris. There he is in the lower left side of the picture above. He is sort of like a sleeping giant, There he is! Look again. I know you see him. Sad isn’t it? He didn’t escape to higher ground when he was mired in this Vesuvius Volcano. This presently inactive caldron is a place for those laden with sin and debauchery. This godless world does a number on the deceived. He should have read the story of Lot escaping from Sodom. That would have snapped his girdle. To flippant, cocky and screwball to care and someone even tried to throw him a life line, too. Was he a so called disciple of Christ but phony? He blasted the Savior, yet the Savior loved the likes of this old man enough to go the extra mile for Him at Calvary. But alas He refused a life line. The old guy was to inebriated with His current pleasures and was caught in the terrorist acts of the Evil One. How close he was to brimstone in his illicit pleasures he never knew.
