Escaping is not the game plan when you have to stand and fight. Put on God’s armor and take up the shield of faith. Use the Word as the sword of warfare. Escape from all godless cowards and ye shall find rest to your soul.

If Israel allowed them to exist among them it would be their demise. Escaping is not the game plan when you should stand there and fight!

“Our Struggle is against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places...” Eph. 6:12b Each of these labels for combatants are designated as forces of wickedness that are unseen and surround human beings and unleash the harm that they are allowed to inflict. Men cry out in pain and retaliate in bazar ways but they play into the hands of these unprotected, if without Christ. The only protection is the armor of light piece by piece listed right in Eph. 6. It is worth reading and doing an inductive study thorough this information on spiritual warfare.

II Peter 1:3 "seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence."

II Peter 1:4 "For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, in order that by them you might become partakers of the divine nature having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust.”

“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood...”, Eph. 6:12a. This ‘flesh and blood’ is the conflict level most people are only aware of especially those who do not understand the nature of the spiritual in human existence. Our World View is upgraded as we utilize the Word for information regarding the spiritual combat in our lives. God’s Word helps Christians who are walking in the Spirit understand through the Word of God what needs to be done and where to get help.

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive t the obedience of Christ, and we are ready to punish all disobedience, whenever your obedience is complete, 2 Cor. 10:3-7. NASV

William Mac Donald makes commentary in the “Believers Bible Commentary” on the 12th verse in Eph. 6 that is worth putting here.” This warfare is not a matter of contending against godless philosophers, crafty priests, Christ-denying cultists, or infidel rulers. The battle is against demonic forces, against battalions of fallen angels, against evil spirits who wield tremendous power. Though we cannot see them, we are constantly surrounded by wicked spirit-beings. While it is true that they cannot indwell a true believer, they can oppress and harass him. The Christian should not be morbidly occupied with the subject of demonism; neither should he live in fear of demons. In the armor of God, he has all he needs to hold his ground against their onslaughts. The apostle speaks of these fallen angels as principalities and powers, as rulers of the darkness of this age, and as spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. We do not have sufficient knowledge to distinguish between these; perhaps they refer to spirit-rulers with differing degrees of authority, such as presidents, governors, mayors, and aldermen, on the human scale.”  Is this helpful!

There is a mystery that surrounds spiritual warfare. The demonic world can affect the body, mind and soul. People living in demonic deception real at the assaulting blows and blindly go back again for more, like groping in darkness and falling into a pit of snakes or to feel the injection and fang of the rattle snake or the blow of the grizzly bear along side your head when he is about to crunch your bones. Forever darkness, humans are like nomads trying to deal with an enemy that is mechanized and sophisticated, mean and ornery, godless and sinister. The flaming darts find their target. The effort from deceit and destruction devastates; the enemy is well equipped. Unregenerate man is helpless and ignorant of the tactic against him without debriefing in the Word! Through Christ, the Spirit and His Word we can do valiantly!

Mark 5:1-13 is an encounter with evil spirits on a physical scale like most today are finding the power of evil destructive powers on a spiritual scale.
